Who is Eligible to Apply?

Verto Education is designed for students looking to start or continue their college journey with a global experience. Whether you’re beginning college or seeking a new academic path, you may be eligible to apply if you are:

✅ A high school senior planning to start college with Verto
✅ A first-year college student (including second-semester freshmen) looking for a study abroad opportunity
✅ A college student who has earned no more than 30 earned post-secondary college credits that they intend to transfer to a post-Verto partner institution
✅ A gap-year student who wants an immersive academic travel experience before enrolling in a traditional campus

Application Process

COMPLETE YOUR APPLICATION TO VERTO

  • Your single Verto application will give you access to any Verto location.
  • We encourage all interested students with a *1.75+ high school GPA to apply.
  • Participants must have a valid passport in order to participate with Verto. All passports should be valid for at least 6 months beyond the end of the experience. If this is not the case, prospective participants should renew their passport as soon as possible. Don’t have a passport yet or need it renewed? Follow our step-by-step Passport Guide.

Meet with an Admissions Counselor and Submit Your High School Transcript

  • We require a brief phone call with one of our admissions counselors, followed by a virtual meeting with you and your parent or guardian. These calls are meant to help answer any questions you or your family may have.
  • Submit your high school transcript to your MyVerto portal.

RECEIVE A DECISION FROM VERTO

  • Verto application decisions are made on a rolling basis. You will receive a decision from Verto within 1-2 weeks. You’ve got a life to plan, we won’t keep you waiting.

SELECT YOUR VERTO LOCATION & MAKE A DEPOSIT TO HOLD YOUR SEAT

  • We have a limited number of spots at each abroad location, and they will fill up. Your spot is not guaranteed until you make a deposit.

APPLY TO PARTNER SCHOOLS

  • Participants can earn guaranteed admission to many of our partner colleges through Verto Direct Transfer Admissions. Verto staff will work with you one-on-one to determine what schools would be the best fit and help you apply through our free Direct Transfer Application
  • You are not required to select a partner school to attend after Verto. If you want to attend a non-partner school, we can provide support during the transfer process. (All credits and transcripts come from our Academic Provider, the University of New Haven).
  • If you are unsure about your path, you are invited to work with Verto staff once you’ve confirmed your spot in your Verto first year abroad experience.

RECEIVE ADMISSION DECISIONS TO PARTNER SCHOOLS

  • Once you receive a partner college decision letter, our on-site staff are available to help you navigate your next steps in enrolling at a partner college.

*The Direct Transfer Admissions Pathway requires a 2.0 high school GPA or higher. Those with 1.75-1.99 final GPA may be eligible to enroll in Verto’s London and Prague abroad locations only, and may be eligible to earn guaranteed admission to select Direct Transfer institutions. Specific coursework requirements apply. Submit your application for details.

Verto offers rolling decisions, and our locations fill up on a first-come-first-serve basis. We expect to reach capacity months ahead of the experience start dates. Apply today to secure your spot!

January 26, 2026

Fall ’26 Early Enrollment Deadline

Students must enroll for Verto Fall ’26 by January 26th to qualify for the Early Enrollment Discount. Learn more about the award here.

March 2, 2026

Fall ’26 Verto Scholars Award Deadline

To qualify for the Verto Scholars Award, students must apply for it and be accepted to Verto by March 2nd. Learn more about the award here.

May 15, 2026

Fall ’26 Prague Enrollment Deadline

Submit your enrollment deposit by this date to enroll in the Prague semester.

June 1, 2026

Fall ’26 Florence and Seville Enrollment Deadlines

Submit your enrollment deposit by this date to enroll in the Florence or Seville semesters.

June 22, 2026

Fall ’26 London Enrollment Deadline

Submit your enrollment deposit by this date to enroll in the London semester.

July 1, 2026

Fall ’26 Buenos Aires Enrollment Deadline

Submit your enrollment deposit by this date to enroll in the Buenos Aires semester.

PASSPORT DEADLINES

Passport for Italy, Spain, & the Czech Republic:

In order to apply for a student visa, participants must have a valid passport in hand 3 months before their experience start date — renew or apply for your passport asap! The passport must be valid for a minimum of 6 months after the end date of the abroad experience.

Passport for Argentina & England:

Participants must have a passport in hand approximately 2 months prior to their experience start date. The passport must be valid for a minimum of 6 months after the abroad experience end date.

International Students

Verto welcomes international students through our International Student Pathway, a year-long experience beginning in Seville, Spain, and continuing in London, England. Students receive comprehensive academic and language support, personalized advising, and on-site assistance with visas, housing, and cultural adjustment, ensuring a smooth transition to studying abroad and preparing for transfer to leading U.S. universities.

Visa Requirements:

  • Students without a U.S. passport may have different visa requirements for entry into the host country.
  • It is the student’s responsibility to research and secure the appropriate visa based on the host country’s immigration policies.

Academic Transcripts:

Official transcripts from all secondary and post-secondary institutions attended. Demonstrated 2.0+ GPA on a 4-point scale at the time of application. Transcripts in languages other than English must be professionally translated and converted to a standard GPA scale.

Passport Requirements:

  • A valid passport with at least 1 year validity beyond the intended stay.

English Language Proficiency:

If English is not your first language, or your school does not teach in English, you must submit proof of English proficiency.

Minimum Scores:

  • TOEFL iBT: Minimum overall score of 70
  • IELTS Academic: Minimum overall score of 6.0
  • Duolingo: 100
