Senior Marketing Manager

We are hiring a Senior Marketing Manager for our quickly growing team in Portland, Oregon. We are looking for a sophisticated marketing generalist who can contribute to a wide variety of marketing programs. In this role, you will oversee our content calendar, email tactics, paid advertising, integrated scholarship campaigns, and our student ambassador program. You will have the opportunity to help shape our brand narrative as we grow. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter who can operate at start-up speed and is not afraid to experiment. Responsibilities:

  • Create and evolve our content marketing and social media strategy to extend marketing initiatives across channels and audiences (parents, students, counselors).
  • Manage paid acquisition campaigns Ensure website content is optimized for SEO and optimal user experience.
  • Respond to all media inquiries, pitch stories to journalists, maintain and manage our media list.
  • Establish verbal and narrative brand guidelines to foster consistency.
  • Oversee and leverage our student ambassadors as they produce content for our blog and social media.
  • Identify and experiment with new partners and channels (Ie. Podcasts, brand partnerships, influencers) to create content and connect with students and parents.
  • Create monthly Verto Education newsletter and oversee general email marketing strategy (workflows, drip campaigns, etc).
  • Spearhead development of new marketing materials including print and video.
  • Coordinate the announcement of scholarships, new programs, and partner schools.
  • Assist in managing the Verto Education website.

Job Qualifications:

Years of Experience: Years of Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in marketing strategy, SEO, public relations, or content marketing preferably with a student-focused organization

Director of Admissions

Our team is hiring a Director of Admissions to oversee Verto’s admissions process and reach our enrollment goals to maximize our positive impact on the world. This is a full-time position based at our new headquarters in Portland, Oregon. This position will also offer opportunities to mentor our Admissions team, and the role will grow with the company. The Director of Admissions will report directly to our COO and will work closely with our CMO.

Responsibilities:

The Director of Admissions will oversee the admissions process for Verto, which may include management of the Admissions team, recruitment strategy, scholarships and financial aid, advising on program selection, coordination with Verto’s partner colleges, and any necessary registration paperwork. This position will work primarily out of Verto’s office in Portland, Oregon, with likely travel to recruiting events. The Director of Admissions will often be the point of contact for new students and their families who may have questions about Verto, our programs, partner colleges, and enrollment process. This position requires soft skills, as well as a mind for data and systems.

Recruitment & Soft Skills:

  • Represent Verto as a respectful and knowledgeable ambassador of our teams around the world
  • Drive enrollment and expand Verto’s footprint through direct student and advisor outreach

Requirements:

  • Travel, leadership, and/or education with high school students.
  • Professional working proficiency in English. Additional languages are a plus.

Regional Admissions Representative

Do you have a passion for travel and working with students? Are you interested in traveling the country to talk about experiential education with students, educators, and families?

The Regional Admissions Representative promotes Verto Education at schools, fairs, conferences, and one-on-one meetings. This is a contract position from September to November, with the possibility of extension based on performance. Admissions Representatives report directly to our COO and will work closely with our head of Marketing.

Responsibilities:

  • Represent Verto as a respectful and knowledgeable ambassador of our teams around the world
  • Drive enrollment and expand Verto’s footprint through direct student and educational advisor outreach
  • Identify new markets for Verto’s semesters
  • Schedule and perform five (on average) high-value outreach events per week, including school presentations, fairs, and meetings with school administrators to introduce Verto’s programs and partner colleges
  • Maintain and grow the region’s portfolio of contacts, schools, and organizations, and build and nurture relationships with each
  • When requested, attend home visits and open houses to connect with interested families as they decide upon a college plan for 2019 and beyond
  • Make regular follow up calls with student leads you have identified, and assist with other student relationships/lead follow-up as needed
  • Keep an updated calendar that is public to Verto’s team
  • Provide detailed records and insights from all meetings and presentations in Verto’s CRM
  • Communicate regularly with other members of Verto’s team
  • Attend trainings with Admissions team and founders to become proficient in Verto’s programs and outreach techniques
