Latin America Field Semester Class

With so many uncertainties at traditional universities for this coming Fall 2020 semester, applications for admission to Verto have increased dramatically. With that in mind, we have made the decision to limit our Fall 2020 entering class to 500 students.

We just passed 5,000 applications for an enrolling class of 500 students. While we have been experiencing record growth, we did not anticipate needing to cap our enrollment for this fall. To ensure we maintain the best possible immersive and personalized academic experience for all students, we are limiting our fall enrollment to 500 students. This will allow us to cap each cohort to a field to student ratio of no more than 7 to 1.

As President of Verto Education, I would like to provide more context on this decision. Verto Education is committed to the following 3 institutional values:

  1. The Best Possible 1st Year College Education
  2. Admission to Partner Colleges
  3. A Commitment to Affordability

In order for us to fully actualize the above three values, we have made the challenging decision to limit enrollment to 500 students. At Verto, we care deeply about small class sizes, hiring the best teaching professors in the world, and doing so at an affordable cost to students and parents. The best way for us to provide this level of a world-class educational experience for all students who attend a Verto semester is to limit the number of students in this Fall’s class.

As we are receiving questions from many students and parents, here are the most asked FAQ’s:

How quickly will the remaining spots fill up?

Applications to start college with Verto have increased dramatically over the last few weeks. With that in mind, we do not know when we will hit our maximum freshman class of 500, so we encourage you to guarantee your spot if you’re interested in starting college with us in the fall. The best way to guarantee your spot with Verto is to put down your deposit.

Will there be a waitlist for the Fall Semester?

Yes. Given current demand for a fall semester, we are likely to reach capacity. While there are still spots available, we are anticipating a waitlist. Under this circumstance, if a spot opens up we will communicate this to you and hold the spot for a specific amount of time. At that point, we will need to offer your spot to another student.

Will certain Verto semester locations fill up faster than others?

It’s likely, and dependent on the interest of students and families. Speak directly with your Verto Admissions Counselor about this. If you are flexible with regards to location, that may help us move you off the waitlist.

If I have already been accepted to Verto, is my spot guaranteed?

No. Your place in the Fall 2020 Verto class is only guaranteed once you have submitted your deposit.

What if I have also been accepted to a Verto Partner College? Is my spot with Verto guaranteed?

First of all, Congratulations! A joint admission is a big accomplishment. Many Verto students receive a joint acceptance letter from Verto and a partner college. In that scenario, your matriculation to the partner school is dependent on the successful completion of your 1st semester or year of College with Verto. With that in mind, it is particularly important to secure your spot in both Verto’s class and at the partner college to whom you have been admitted. You can secure your spot by submitting a deposit.
