Plan your own cultural immersion experience with advice from Spring 2022 student Talaith Campbell.

***This is an example of a student’s experience from Spring 2022. Specific programming and activities are subject to change semester by semester.

Of course, choosing Verto means traveling to an awesome international location (or two) of your choosing. But, once you’re on location…what about all those incredible locations, super close-by that you’ve been dying to go to? Sevilla, Spain was my top Verto semester location, but nearby places like Granada and Cordoba were equally as intriguing. While Verto doesn’t have base locations everywhere, they take cultural immersion seriously and group travel to a whole new level. Whatever semester you choose, Verto will plan several group trips around your given area, to ensure you’re seeing the most of your region. Whether on a day trip or overnight vacation, you will be sure to have a good time.

First, Verto takes a lot of time to plan where they take you. You don’t have to spend time googling the best places to visit in the UK/Italy/Spain or wherever you are. They take the stress out of it and ensure that you will go on a meaningful trip in a location with lots to teach you, making you feel like less of a tourist and more of a cultural traveler. Second, Verto handpicks tour guides for your travel. Better yet, Verto tour guides travel with you (most of the time) to wherever you go. This means you can develop relationships with local experts who live in your area. Whether you’re going on a cathedral tour at home in Sevilla or the Alhambra Palace in Granada, you get the chance to be guided by the same individuals. These tour guides also take time to connect what you’re learning in your classes to what you’re seeing out in the world. Finally, Verto takes extra care in planning free time for you during each trip. With some guidance so you’re not totally lost, you will have ample time to see each city for yourself. More pros of traveling with Verto include spending time with all your new friends. When planning solo trips, which you are also welcome to do, you lose out on vacationing with a large number of people.

A Verto semester is more than just the one location you chose. It’s also everywhere else Verto staff takes you; It’s full cultural immersion on location.

Verto takes care of all tickets when on excursions or group trips. Usually, all you need to bring is yourself….and sometimes and I.D.

A guided tour of the Alhambra Palace in Spain. After developing relationships with guides, they made this tour fun and engaging.

You will take Verto sponsored buses to each location. This gives you ample time to see the countryside, look at new cities, and see even more of your area.
