Funding Your Verto Experience

Access, Equity, And Affordability Are Core Pillars Of Verto’s Mission.

We believe that every young adult deserves to have a transformative global education experience on their path toward graduation without breaking the bank. Depending on your eligibility, the cost of a Verto Abroad Experience may be significantly reduced through Verto’s grants and scholarships.

Participants must submit their FAFSA to our Academic Provider, the University of New Haven.

*Please note that Verto Education is not currently participating in the federal student aid program offered by the U.S. Department of Education. Completion of the FAFSA is to determine institutional eligibility only; federal student aid will not be awarded for Verto Education Abroad Experiences.

 

GRANT & SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

In consideration of the family budget, Verto offers abroad locations at different price points and access to the following grants and scholarships.

ACCELERATED APPLICATION DISCOUNT

Complete your application*, submit your transcript, and complete your family admission call within three weeks and receive a $500 tuition reduction.

EARLY ENROLLMENT DISCOUNT

Secure your spot with a completed application and deposit by September 16, 2024 for spring 2025 or January 20, 2025 for fall 2025 and save $1,000 on your tuition.

THE VERTO SCHOLARS AWARD

The Verto Scholars Award is offered to incoming students based on their high school GPA.

  • Eligibility: Offered to incoming students based on their high school GPA. Students must have a completed Verto application and be accepted to Verto to be considered for the VSA.
  • Key Deadlines:
    • Complete the VSA application by:
      • October 1st, 2024 for spring 2025
      • March 1st, 2025 for fall 2025
  • Renewability: The Verto Scholars Award is renewable for a second Verto Experience if the participant achieves a GPA of at least 3.0 on their first enrolled Verto term, and has enrolled for the spring term by October 1, 2024 or fall term by May 1, 2025.

Application open for spring 2025 and fall 2025. Must complete the Verto application and VSA application.*

THE VERTO OPPORTUNITY GRANT

The Verto Opportunity Grant is available to students demonstrating financial need and scholastic achievement. This award can reduce the out of pocket cost of your Verto Experience by as much as $15,000.

TO QUALIFY, STUDENTS MUST HAVE:

• A high school GPA of at least 3.0
• Must be Pell Eligible (as determined by filing FAFSA), with priority given to students with an SAI (Student Aid Index) below 2,000.

The Student Aid Index (SAI), is determined by filing the FAFSA, which opens for the 2024-2025 academic year in December 2023 and in December 2024 for the 2025-2026 academic year.*

TO APPLY FOR THE OPPORTUNITY GRANT:

  1. File the FAFSA and list Verto’s Academic Provider (the University of New Haven, Federal School Code 001397).
  2. Look for an email from FSA with tentative SAI and Pell eligibility.
  3. Upload your FAFSA Submission Confirmation Email that includes your Estimated Student Aid Index (SAI).
  4. Make sure your transcript has been submitted to Verto as well.

HOW TO FUND YOUR VERTO EXPERIENCE

Filing your FAFSA is the first step to determine your eligibility for Verto grants. You must add Verto’s Academic Provider (the University of New Haven) on the school list.

Submit your high school transcript, Student Aid Report (SAR), and Opportunity Grant Application as seen above to be considered for Verto Grants & Scholarships.

Review your Verto grants and scholarships to understand your total cost of attendance.

To calculate this:

Verto Location Cost – Awarded Verto Grants & Scholarships = Total Cost of Attendance

After you figure out your Total Cost of Attendance, you will need to consider your options for how to pay the remaining balance.

Your additional funding options include:

  • Apply for external scholarships.
  • Verto can accept external scholarships provided that they can be used at institutions outside your home state.
  • Utilize a 529 college savings plan.
  • Borrow private student loans.
  • Visit Sparrow, a trusted portal, to research and compare your loan options.

Payment Plan Options: When it comes time to pay your balance, you have the option to make a one-time lump sum payment or enroll in an interest free payment plan that splits your remaining balance into 5 equal monthly payments.
