The Foundations of our Verto Community
Prior to your Fall 2025 study abroad experience, attend Pre-Departure Orientation
There are 2 required parts:

- Modules: Complete at your own pace before your virtual Care Team Circle
- 3 Events: Attend Global Orientation, Location Orientation, and Care Team Circle
All students MUST complete their orientation to start their study abroad experience with Verto Education. Students RSVP for events via the Verto Community App Events Page or the Events below.
Plan to attend events with a computer, laptop or iPad (not a cell phone), ready to engage and meet your new community!
Pre-Departure Modules
Required for all Verto Participants
After Global Orientation, log in to Canvas to access your Pre-Departure Onboarding Course! Complete all of the assigned modules prior to your virtual Care Team Circle. More information will be released in July.

Pre-Departure Orientation Events
GLOBAL ORIENTATION
Go over the student code of responsibility, learn about academic expectations, receive tips on health and safety, and learn more about the team that will support your success throughout the semester.
LOCATION ORIENTATION
Learn about arrival logistics, location details, and cultural insights, and ask questions to the Program staff on-site.
CARE TEAM CIRCLE
Meet the Vertoans and Student Success Advisor who make up your Care Team. Make connections to your new community!
Global Orientation
1 Session Required for all Vertoans

Family Pre-Departure Orientation
Highly Encouraged for All Families
During this Pre-Departure Orientation, Verto Families will meet with key Verto staff to share pre-departure preparations around the following topics:
- Travel preparation and health and safety best practices
- Communication processes and protocols ; understanding FERPA; and how to support your student during their transition
- Higher education process regarding housing, academics, and dietary accommodations
- Time for Q+A
