Verto Education marks a new milestone in its community, welcoming more than 1,200 students who will participate in a transformative abroad experience at one of Verto’s five locations around the world!

Dear Verto Community,

We’re thrilled to celebrate Verto’s largest cohort in our community’s history, welcoming more than 1,200 Verto students across our five abroad locations. Each of these students is about to begin a life-changing academic and personal journey with Verto — immersing themselves in new cultures, discovering their passions in and out of the classroom, and developing the skills to thrive in college and beyond. Our students will explore the world, grow as leaders of the next generation, and gain global perspectives that they will carry with them into their future. Our mission is to help students become curious, courageous, and globally-minded citizens.

As our students embark on their experience abroad with Verto, I want to share reflections and gratitude with you, based on our Community Values (Compassion, Responsibility, Vulnerability, and Transformation):

Vulnerability: Our students are the clearest example of how being open to new experiences can positively impact the trajectory of your life. Each of them, for myriad reasons and from a multitude of lived experiences, chose a path likely different from their peers. We are thrilled that they took this leap, and we’re ready to accompany them in this journey toward their self-authored life.

Compassion: The magnitude of our Verto Community becomes clearer when we acknowledge the deeply-woven network of family members, mentors, school counselors, community associations, friends, and peers that supported this group of Vertoans along their journey. Thank you for seeing the value of our community and encouraging your student, child, mentee, or friend — someone who you care so much about — to start their higher education path with Verto!

Responsibility: Verto’s ability to continuously provide an exceptional student experience is sustained by extensive partnerships rooted in mutual trust and respect.

  • Thank you to our 60+ Partner Institutions who recognize that Verto prepares global leaders to make the most of a unique college experience that challenges students to think critically about themselves, the world around them, and their academic journey that continues after Verto.
  • We’re grateful to our Academic Provider, University of New Haven, for their continued partnership and commitment to serving and supporting first-year students through high-quality academic experiences, in and out of the classroom.
  • Thank you to our global Student Success and Academics teams for fostering an environment of academic excellence, curiosity, and compassion with our students. As a global network of higher education professionals, I deeply admire your commitment to our cause.

Transformation: Verto was founded to help students become curious, courageous, and globally-minded citizens while changing the pathway to higher education— and that’s exactly the path we are on. This fall, we will provide more than $3 million in grants and scholarships to ensure that students of all backgrounds, regardless of socioeconomic status, can start college in our community. Over one-third of Verto students this semester are from historically underrepresented backgrounds. As Verto continues to grow, this commitment to our mission remains.

What does our community mean to you? To me, it means a pathway to a more connected, empathetic world of engaged global citizens. If every student started college with Verto, we’d live in a different and more compassionate world. We already see this impact in the stories from our thousands of Verto Alumni who are following their passions, and we are excited to be building that world together.

Thank you for your support along the way. Go Verto!
