Out-of-state students with a qualifying GPA will be eligible for and automatically considered for a Reduced Tuition Waiver starting in the Spring term.
In-state students entering UNF after completing the Verto program are not eligible for scholarships offered by the UNF Office of Admissions; however, students can apply for scholarships throughout their time at UNF. A list of scholarship resources is available https://www.unf.edu/scholarships/

To earn guaranteed admission to University of North Florida following one semester abroad with Verto, you will need:
- Minimum 12 college credits
- A high school GPA of 2.5+
- ACT/SAT/CLT standardized test scores on file
- Minimum 2.25 college GPA
To earn guaranteed admission to University of North Florida following two or more semesters abroad with Verto:
- Minimum 24 college credits
- A high school GPA of 2.5+
- ACT/SAT/CLT standardized test scores on file
- Minimum 2.25 college GPA
- 30 college credits or more:
- C grade in college level English course
- C grade in college level Math course
- Minimum 2.25 college GPA
The following programs are not included in the Direct Transfer Pathway:
- School of Music
If you have applied to a specialized or selective admission program at UNF, please note that as a lower-level transfer student, you may not be admitted directly into your program of choice. Admission to these programs will happen when you reach upper-level status (earn 60+ credit hours).
Some programs may require a grade higher than a “D” to meet prerequisites.

Yes! University of North Florida welcomes both fall and spring transfers from Verto.
While you won’t be eligible for the guarantee, we still encourage you to work with your Verto Care Team to prepare and submit a Verto Partner Application for holistic review.
You are still eligible for the Direct Transfer guarantee to UNF! The 2.25 GPA requirement is cumulative of all college transcripts.
Homeschooled students must submit transcripts indicating course title, semester, grade, and awarded credit for all academic courses. Please see the UNF Home School Transcript Form for assistance or a template.
Official CLT, SAT and/or ACT scores and official transcripts from accelerated mechanisms are also required.
Students who received a G.E.D. must submit evidence of passing scores on the subtests of the G.E.D. exams and a G.E.D. diploma, in addition to official CLT, SAT, or ACT score reports.
Yes, international students are eligible for the Direct Transfer Pathway.

Once you arrive at your Verto location, you can begin working with Verto staff to prepare your application to University of North Florida. Applications are typically sent following mid-terms, so your mid-term report can demonstrate your progress towards Direct Transfer eligibility.

UNF is supportive of this decision and should not pose an issue with your Direct transfer eligibility.. Students would be encouraged to contact Emma Reynolds, Associate Director of Recruitment, at [email protected] to discuss deferral options.
Please note that whichever email address a student shares on their Verto Partner Application, UNF will send frequent comprehensive communications to this address regarding onboarding and next steps, including:
- $30 application fee waiver
- UNF Application Portal (check application status)
- Missing or Incomplete Documents (i.e. pending test scores, HS GPA)
- Housing Application
- Transfer Orientation (virtual)
- Financial Aid, including reduced tuition fee waivers for out-of-state students.
Note: To be considered for financial aid, a student must be formally admitted for the Spring or Fall term and have a FAFSA on file at UNF for the appropriate financial aid year. Financial aid is awarded on a rolling basis (typically weekly). Your financial award package and all email notifications will be sent to the student’s new official UNF email account with instructions on next steps.
