About Lycoming College

Lycoming College is a place where students think deeply and act boldly in preparation for careers of significance and lives of meaning. Here, students immerse themselves in experiential learning like internships, fieldwork, research, and global study. As an undergraduate institution of just 1,200 students, Lycoming fosters individualized learning environments such as workshops, hands-on labs, and discussion-based classes, and gives students access to advanced equipment from day one.

With 100+ majors and minors, students can craft a customized, market-driven program tailored to their unique interests and career goals. Additionally, subject-specific career advising and pre-professional guidance result in 98.3% of graduates employed or in grad school within 6-12 months.

From our Outdoor Leadership & Education program, Clean Water Institute, and affinity housing to our 19 NCAA Division III sports teams and 80+ clubs, Lycoming students not only get to learn their passion, but live it.

Lycoming College is Part of Verto’s Direct Transfer Program

Through Verto’s Direct Transfer Program, you can gain admission to Lycoming based on your academic performance with the courses delivered by the Academic Provider during your Verto study abroad experience. While admission will depend on Lycoming’s availability and is ultimately up to their discretion, this route tends to give Verto participants who meet the college’s academic criteria a higher chance of admission and a fast-tracked application.

Learn About Verto’s Direct Transfer Program

As one of the 50 oldest national liberal arts and sciences colleges in America, Lycoming College remains strongly rooted in the liberal arts tradition, and central to this is growth through travel. By partnering with Verto, Lycoming students will be able to more easily experience new cultures for a broadened worldview. Global travel can make a substantial impact on a young person’s development, and we’re very pleased to be working with Verto toward this end.
