Transfer Student Support
Ranked in the top five in the nation for Transfer Student Success, Florida Atlantic provides support for every transfer student, every step of the way — from admission to graduation. About 42% of our undergraduates are transfer students, and they form a lively community with the help of our Transfer Student Orientation, Transfer Mentoring Project, and myriad of other transfer services.
FINANCES
Along with a comprehensive financial aid program, Florida Atlantic University offers a variety of transfer-specific scholarships with awards up to $2,500 per year. Our partnership with Scholarship Universe helps students to easily find and apply for countless internal and external scholarships.

To earn guaranteed admission to Florida Atlantic University following one semester abroad with Verto, you will need:
- A high school GPA of 3.0+
- A standardized test score of ACT 20+ or SAT 1050+ or CLT 66+
- 2.5+ College GPA
- Minimum 12 college credits
Admission is only guaranteed as long as Florida Atlantic has capacity available.
To earn guaranteed admission to Florida Atlantic University following one year abroad with Verto, you will need:
- 2.5+ College GPA
- Minimum 30 college credits
- 1 College English and College Math with a C or better OR a standardized test score of ACT 20+ or SAT 1050+ or CLT 66+
Please note that if you complete a full year with Verto but do not earn 30+ credits, you will need to meet the one semester pathway requirements.
Admission is only guaranteed as long as Florida Atlantic has capacity available.
Admission to Florida Atlantic University does not guarantee entrance to certain selective admissions majors. Additional admission requirements are necessary for the following majors:
College of Arts and Letters
- School of Music
- School of Theatre
Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics
- Charles E. Schmidt College of Science
- College of Engineering and Computer Science
Harriet L. Wilkes Honors College

Yes! Florida Atlantic welcomes both fall and spring transfers from Verto, as long as they meet the admission requirements that apply based on their number of earned credits. See the one semester and full year pathway options FAQs for more information.
If you fall below the direct transfer eligibility requirements, you are not admissible to Florida Atlantic.
You are still eligible for the Direct Transfer guarantee to Florida Atlantic! The 2.5 GPA requirement and credit minimums is cumulative of all college transcripts.
While you won’t be eligible for the guarantee, we still encourage you to work with your Verto Care Team to prepare and submit a Verto Partner Application for holistic review.

Once you arrive to your Verto location, you can begin working with Verto staff to prepare your application to Florida Atlantic. Applications are typically sent following mid-terms, so your mid-term report can demonstrate your progress towards Direct Transfer eligibility.
