Earn guaranteed admission to Verto’s Direct Transfer Partner Colleges through Verto’s free Partner Application.

Each Direct Transfer Partner has specific requirements for students to earn guaranteed admission through their Verto experience. If a college sparks your interest, but you’re worried about meeting their requirements for the Direct Transfer Guarantee, don’t be discouraged. While these partners offer conditional admission by meeting their specific Direct Transfer requirements, many also conduct a holistic and comprehensive review of applicants. Colleges are always looking to identify academically promising students who enhance their campus communities.

TRANSFER STUDENT SUPPORT

Adelphi has made the Phi Theta Kappa honor roll for transferring seven years in a row. That means Adelphi is one of America’s most accommodating four-year universities for community college transfer students. 

Transfer students are matched with a dedicated counselor who will get to know you and your past academic experience, ensure you’re getting credit for as much of your previous coursework as possible, and help customize your pathway toward completion.

FINANCES

We offer 100% of accepted undergraduate students scholarships; all transfer students will receive at least $10,000 in scholarships annually.

STUDENT LIFE

The Center for Student and Community Engagement offers more than 90 different college clubs and organizations to help Adelphi students get involved with campus life activities. 

Getting involved in clubs and organizations is a great way to expand your knowledge and passion of subject areas. Between academic clubs, diversity-based organizations, and special interest groups, you will find something that suits your interests. Build your leadership skills, further your studies, exchange ideas, and explore new cultures.

Explore Adelphi’s residential communities, where students from all over the country—and the world—live, learn and grow together. Each of our seven residential communities offers support and convenience, as well as opportunities for personal growth, cultural exploration, and interaction with peers and staff.

At Adelphi University, students choose from over 100 study abroad programs around the world. In addition to traditional semester-long study abroad, Adelphi students participate in short-term programs during the summer, intersession and spring semesters, including 1–3 week courses taught internationally by Adelphi faculty.

Many programs also include opportunities for Adelphi students to engage in community service, field study and internships. Adelphi students of all majors are eligible to study abroad and courses taken internationally may satisfy major, minor and elective credit.

Work with your Academic Success Coordinator

Once you have arrived at your Verto Program location, work with your Academic Success Coordinator to compile your documents and prepare and submit your Verto Partner Application.

To earn guaranteed admission to Adelphi through the Direct Transfer Pathway, during your time with Verto you will need:

  • 3.0+ GPA
  • Minimum 24 credits

Performing and visual arts, social work, and nursing majors are not included in the Direct Transfer Guarantee and may have additional requirements. Students are, however, able to apply through the Verto Partner Application for holistic review as long as all additional required documentation is submitted.

  • Performing and visual arts majors require an additional audition or portfolio review before a student’s application can be reviewed for admission (please note: our theatre program does not have a spring start).
  • Students applying to our School of Social Work must undergo review by the department for admission.
  • Students applying to our College of Nursing and Public Health must have a minimum of a 3.5 cumulative GPA, only one science prerequisite course with a grade below a C+, and must pass the ATI TEAS with a 58.7% or above within the attempt guidelines.

Once you arrive at your second semester Verto location, you can begin working with Verto staff to prepare your application to Adelphi. Applications are typically sent following mid-terms, so your mid-term report can demonstrate your progress towards Direct Transfer eligibility.

You are able to defer your original application by working with Adelphi and your Verto Care Team. You will be expected to maintain a similar GPA with no significant change.
