FINANCES
Federal loans and grants can be transferred from other institutions. To request a copy of your FAFSA to be sent to USC’s Office of Student Financial Aid, log on to your Federal Student Aid account on the studentaid.gov website, access your Student Aid Report (SAR), and select the option to send a copy electronically to our financial aid office. STUDENT LIFE

To earn guaranteed admission to USC through the Direct Transfer Pathway, you must meet the following requirements during your Verto experience:
- 3.0 GPA
- 24+ credits required, though it is recommended that students earn a total of 30+ credits
- Excludes Business, Nursing
Some majors require specific courses and higher GPA.
The Direct Transfer Pathway is designed for students who complete a full year abroad with Verto. If you are only participating in one semester with Verto and are interested in USC, you can apply directly as a transfer student for holistic review.

Additionally, the Darla Moore School of Business and the College of Nursing are not included in the Direct Transfer Pathway, but students are encouraged to apply through the Verto Partner Application for holistic review.
Yes! USC welcomes both fall and spring transfers from Verto.
While you won’t be eligible for the Direct Transfer guarantee, we encourage you to work with your Verto Care Team to prepare and submit a Verto Partner Application for holistic review.
While you won’t be eligible for the Direct Transfer guarantee, we still encourage you to work with your Verto Care Team to prepare and submit a Verto Partner Application for holistic review. Make sure to request official copies of your prior college transcripts be sent to the University of South Carolina when you apply. Previously earned credits will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Yes! As a Direct Transfer applicant, you will be evaluated on your college credits. An applicant with 24/30 hours or more will not be required to submit high school credentials.
International students are encouraged to apply directly to the University of South Carolina as transfer students for holistic review.

Once you arrive at your Verto location, you can begin working with Verto staff to prepare your application to USC.
Within 24-48 hours after your Verto application is received by USC, you will receive an email with instructions to log in to your USC Admissions Portal. Your USC Admissions Portal serves as your personal landing page for important information and reminders.

If you would like to spend one additional semester with Verto after you have already submitted your Verto Partner Application to USC, contact the USC Representative at adminter@mailbox.sc.edu and request to have your application term updated to a future term.
