One of the best ways to enrich your collegiate years is to get involved with clubs and organizations that fit your interests. There are plenty of ways to get involved since there are over 130 active student organizations on Loyola’s campus. Getting actively involved on campus and in the New Orleans Community will not only help you find what you’re passionate about, but it will also give you the best four years of your life.
Housing: Loyola guarantees housing for 3 years and does offer housing options through year 4. A new residence hall will be completed by Fall 2025
To earn guaranteed admission to Loyola University New Orleans through the Direct Transfer Pathway, during your time with Verto you will need:
- 2.5+ GPA
- Minimum 12 credits
While Nursing and Music are not included in the guaranteed pathway, students are encouraged to apply for holistic review. Additional application materials and requirements may apply.
Yes! NOLA welcomes both fall and spring transfers from Verto.
While you won’t be eligible for the guarantee, we still encourage you to work with your Verto Care Team to prepare and submit a Verto Direct Transfer Application for holistic review.
You are still eligible for the Direct Transfer guarantee to NOLA! The 2.5+ GPA requirement is cumulative of all college transcripts.
Yes, you can complete 1, 2, or 3 semesters abroad with Verto and remain eligible for the Direct Transfer Pathway to Loyola University New Orleans.
Yes, homeschooled students and/or students who have a GED are eligible for the Direct Transfer guarantee.
Yes, international students are eligible for the Direct Transfer Pathway.

Once you arrive to your Verto location, you can begin working with Verto staff to prepare your application to NOLA. Applications are typically sent following mid-terms, so your mid-term report can demonstrate your progress towards Direct Transfer eligibility.
After Loyola NOLA receives a Verto Direct Transfer Application, applicants can expect to receive an admission decision within three weeks.
The following documents will need to be included in your Verto Direct Transfer Application packet to Loyola University New Orleans:
- Verto to provide from their records:
- Final High School Transcript
- Mid-term Report for your current Verto semester
- Unofficial University of New Haven final transcript for any prior Verto semesters
- Student to submit to Verto for inclusion:
- Unofficial college transcripts from any pre-Verto college coursework
If, once you decide to add a semester abroad, you’ve already been accepted to NOLA and committed to attending following your Verto experience, you can defer to continue with Verto. If you had not yet been accepted or committed, you should submit a new Verto Direct Transfer Application during your second semester abroad.
