At this time, transfer students are not eligible to be considered for one of the automatic IU Academic Scholarships that are awarded to incoming first-year students.

Your academic advisor at New Student Orientation will advise based on your intended IU degree plan and take into consideration how courses taken during the Verto experience will fit into the plan.

Housing:
Living on campus is convenient with 19 residence halls in neighborhoods across campus, giving you nearby access to resources and support. You can also select from 20+ living-learning centers to make connections with other students with similar academic and personal interests. Transfer students can follow the IU Housing application timelines to apply for spring or fall semester housing.
Study Abroad:
If your Verto study abroad experience inspires you to see more of the world, IU can help you go global! With over 380 study abroad programs in 70+ countries, you can find a program that sparks your interests.
To earn guaranteed admission to Indiana University through the Direct Transfer Pathway, during your time with Verto you will need:
- High School GPA 3.0 +
- 2.5 + GPA
- Minimum 12 credits
- All courses with a grade of C or higher
- 2.5 + GPA
- Minimum 26 credits
- All courses with a grade of C or higher
Students who are interested in majors outside the Kelley School of Business, and Nursing will be admitted into the major in which they applied. Students who applied to the Kelley School of Business and Nursing will be admitted into a pre program and will need to meet the prerequisites and admissions standards of the intended school through your course work on IU Bloomington campus before being admitted into the major/school.
- Pre-Business: Students are recommend to achieve a minimum 3.0 GPA and earn no grade below a B in order to be prepared for the rigors of the pre-requisite requirements for standard admission to the Kelley School.. Upon enrolling at Indiana University students interested in majors offered within the Kelley School of Business will be required to apply to Kelley through standard admission.
- Intelligence Systems Engineering: It is recommended that while with Verto, students earn a cumulative GPA of a 3.0 or higher with no course grade below a C and complete Calculus in order to be prepared for the rigors of the pre-requisite requirements for standard admission to the ISE program in the Luddy School.Upon enrolling at Indiana University students interested in studying Intelligent Systems Engineering (ISE) within the Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering, will have the opportunity to speak with an advisor about their path to the degree.
Yes! Indiana University welcomes both fall and spring transfers from Verto.
While you won’t be eligible for the guarantee, we still encourage you to work with your Verto Care Team to prepare and submit a Verto Partner Application for holistic review.
You are still eligible for the Direct Transfer guarantee to Indiana University! The 2.5 GPA requirement is cumulative of all college transcripts.
Yes, you will need to submit home school transcripts or official GED scores as part of your application.
While not eligible for Direct Transfer, international students are encouraged to apply directly as a transfer student for holistic review.

Once you arrive to your Verto location, you can begin working with Verto staff to prepare your application to Indiana University. Applications are typically sent following mid-terms, so your mid-term report can demonstrate your progress towards Direct Transfer eligibility.

Yes, Verto can update the matriculation semester on your current application.
No, you do not have to commit in order to defer your application.
