TRANSFER STUDENT SUPPORT
Catholic University understands the challenges that can come with transferring to a new university, and is here to support you throughout the process and to make your transition to the community as seamless as possible. This includes the Center for Academic and Career Success, which provides guidance, resources, and support from orientation through graduation.
FINANCES
Transfer scholarships are awarded by the Office of Admission, and only undergraduate students are eligible for consideration for Admission scholarships. Our goal is to make the process of applying for aid go as smoothly as possible for you. Catholic University participates in a wide variety of financial aid programs to assist you in paying for your education

CUAbroad, Catholic University offers a wide array of programs, including semester-long, full-year, summer, and spring break options. You can choose to focus on language study, internship, service-learning or work opportunities.
To earn guaranteed admission through the Direct Transfer Pathway, during your time with Verto you will need:
- 3.0+ GPA
- Minimum 12 credits
Our Nursing program is not included in the guaranteed pathway, though Verto participants are encouraged to apply for holistic review for a fall start to the Nursing program. Nursing does not offer a spring start option. Additionally, it is important to know that it may be difficult to graduate the Nursing program in 4 years depending on courses taken during Verto.
Yes! CUA welcomes both fall and spring transfers from Verto.

Credits earned outside of your Verto experience will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Yes, you are still eligible for the Direct Transfer guarantee! As part of your application packet, you will need to submit your homeschool transcript and/or proof of your GED.
Yes, international students are eligible for the Direct Transfer Pathway.
If you have questions around the application process, work with your Verto Care Team. If you have CUA specific questions, you can connect with Andrew Cox, Associate Dean of Undergraduate Admission.
Once you arrive to your Verto location, you can begin working with Verto staff to prepare your application to CUA. Applications are typically sent following mid-terms, so your mid-term report can demonstrate your progress towards Direct Transfer eligibility.
Once Catholic University has completed review of your application packet, you will receive an email informing you of the initial admissions decision. If any additional information or documents are required before issuing a decision, you will receive an email informing you. If you are meeting Direct Transfer requirements, you will receive a conditional admission letter, and your next step will be to submit the Transfer Common Application and all official documents to get fully into the university’s system.
