ACADEMICS
Albion has six unique career-focused academic programs, known as our Centers & Institutes. Within these programs, students are taught to apply what they’re learning in the classroom in hands-on, real-world ways. The experience and individual attention that students receive in these Institutes & Centers set them apart when they graduate and are filling out graduate school applications or while they sit in job interviews. TRANSFER STUDENT SUPPORT
As a transfer student, you are an integral part of Albion’s thriving community. Every transfer student that joins us here at Albion will be part of a quarter unit (1 credit) course during their first semester to help them get acclimated to campus. Each cohort of transfer students also has a set of upper-classmen mentors to help students on a peer-to-peer level.
FINANCES
At Albion, 100% of students receive financial aid.
When you apply to Albion as a transfer student, you are automatically considered for merit-based scholarships ranging from $26,000 – $40,000. Additionally, you may be eligible for a special scholarship, such as those for members of Phi Theta Kappa, out-of-state students and those who visit campus.

To earn guaranteed admission to Albion College through the Direct Transfer Pathway, during your time with Verto you will need:
- 2.5+ GPA
- Minimum 12 credits
All of Albion’s majors are included in the Direct Transfer Pathway.
Yes! Albion College welcomes both fall and spring transfers from Verto.
While you won’t be eligible for the guarantee, we still encourage you to work with your Verto Care Team to prepare and submit a Verto Partner Application for holistic review.
You are still eligible for the Direct Transfer guarantee to Albion College! The 2.5 GPA requirement is cumulative of all college transcripts.
While students who are homeschooled and/or have a GED would not qualify for the Direct Transfer Guarantee, Albion College still encourages these students to apply as we will utilize a holistic review process to determine admission. Albion College recognizes the unique skills and experiences that these students may have and would be excited to work with them!
Yes, international students are eligible for the Direct Transfer Pathway.

Once you arrive at your Verto location, you can begin working with Verto staff to prepare your application to Albion. Applications are typically sent following mid-terms, so your mid-term report can demonstrate your progress towards Direct Transfer eligibility.

No matter where you are in the application process, if you decide to stay with Verto an additional semester, you’ll be able to work with Albion College and your Verto Care Team to defer your application.
All completed applications and supporting material will be processed within two weeks of submission. When you apply, you will automatically be considered for transfer scholarships.
