Welcome to block breaks – four days to relax, climb one of Colorado’s 58 peaks higher than 14,000 feet, or explore the dynamic sand dunes, forests, and canyons of the Southwest.

CC’s breadth of educational options distinguishes them from many other schools. You’ll eventually focus on at least one academic discipline in-depth, but you’ll have more than 80 majors, minors, and specialized programs to choose from.
Most popular majors include:
- Political Science
- Economics
- Ecology/Biology
- Psychology
- Environmental Studies
There is a transfer academic advisor available in the Advising Hub. CC also offers the Priddy Experience to all incoming students, including transfers, which provides a unique orientation that eases the transition to CC. Additionally, CC provides guaranteed housing for all incoming students.
Colorado College is one of approximately seventy colleges in the United States that is committed to meeting 100% of its admitted students’ demonstrated financial need for financial aid to attend. “Need” is calculated annually by subtracting a student’s expected family contribution (as determined by the FAFSA and CSS Profile) from the college’s set traditional Cost of Attendance total. You can estimate your need here. CC students’ financial “need” is met through a combination of work-study expectation, modest loan expectation, and grant funding.
Because meeting every admitted student’s demonstrated financial need requires adequate funding, students must indicate they are seeking need and submit all needed documents at the time of application. Verto participants seeking aid are encouraged to apply to Colorado College through the Verto Partner application for holistic review.
Due to the Block Plan, nearly all events take place in the afternoon/evenings at Colorado College. You’ll never have to coordinate schedules to meet up with friends. Most classes are taught from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m., Monday – Friday. Some classes will reconvene for afternoon hands-on experiences such as in theatre, art studio, or even an astronomy class taught at midnight in the on-campus observatory.
