CUAbroad, Catholic University offers a wide array of programs, including semester-long, full-year, summer, and spring break options. You can choose to focus on language study, internship, service-learning or work opportunities.
To earn guaranteed admission through the Direct Transfer Pathway, during your time with Verto you will need:
- 3.0+ GPA
- 12+ credits
While not required, students are encouraged to enroll in 15 credits per semester while abroad with Verto.
Our Nursing program is not included in the guaranteed pathway, though Verto participants are encouraged to apply for holistic review for a fall start to the Nursing program. Nursing does not offer a spring start option. Additionally, it is important to know that it may be difficult to graduate the Nursing program in 4 years depending on courses taken during Verto.

Yes, you are still eligible for the Direct Transfer guarantee! As part of your application packet, you will need to submit your homeschool transcript and/or proof of your GED.
Yes, international students are eligible to earn guaranteed admission through the Direct Transfer Pathway, provided they meet CUA’s English Language Proficiency requirement. Students should have their test results sent directly to The Catholic University of America when submitting their Direct Transfer Application in order to receive an admissions decision.

Once you arrive to your Verto location, you can begin working with Verto staff to prepare your application to CUA. Applications are typically sent following mid-terms, so your mid-term report can demonstrate your progress towards Direct Transfer eligibility.
Once Catholic University has received and begun processing your Direct Transfer Application, you will receive an email prompting you to access your new Catholic University Applicant Portal. This is where you will receive your admissions decision and next steps, or be notified of any missing documents required.

- Official college transcripts for any Dual Enrollment coursework, if applicable
