About St. Mary's College of Maryland
Our 361-acre waterfront campus lies in the heart of Maryland’s Chesapeake Bay region, adjacent to historic St. Mary’s City—the 4th-oldest permanent English settlement in North America. As the first of only two public honors colleges in the country, we offer a prestigious tradition of providing students of all backgrounds a solid liberal arts and sciences foundation combined with experiential education. If you’re ready to work hard and reach further, we are with you all the way. Our unique curriculum blends experiential learning with applied discovery. Our faculty are among the most accomplished academics in the country and dedicated to teaching and mentoring students who are uncommonly driven to step up and stand out. And with one of the lowest student to faculty ratios in the nation, they will be more than just your teachers. They will be your advisers, your advocates, your friends, every step of the way.
