About Hanover College
As Indiana’s oldest private institution, established in 1827, Hanover College has higher education down to a (liberal arts and) science. For nearly 200 years, our graduates have discovered their passions through our wide variety of opportunities, from academics to athletics and social life to study abroad. That’s one of the best things about the liberal arts—you’ll choose from our 34 majors—but you’ll never be limited to just one thing! Experience and exploration are mandatory, and it sets our alumni apart. No wonder 99% of our students are working or continuing their education within 7 months of graduation.
With an easy drive from Indianapolis, Louisville, or Cincinnati, our students can truly experience the best of all worlds—plenty of space to explore and access to lively metropolitan areas. When you combine our idyllic setting with your academic talents, passions and any of our major (or one of your own design), you’ll find Hanover College is a place where you can feel at home while being challenged to become your best self.
Recently, the Princeton Review has named Hanover one of the Top 20 Most Beautiful Campuses in the nation and U.S. News & World Report ranks Hanover among its 50 Best Value schools and 50 Top Performers for Social Mobility.
