About Temple University
Temple University attracts some of the most diverse, driven and motivated minds from across the nation and around the world. These students and faculty bring the university to life and fuel its momentum in academics, athletics, research and the arts. Powering Temple’s ascent are innovative approaches to admissions and affordability; a campus transformation; plentiful creative and research opportunities; rigorous academic programs; an indelible bond with the city of Philadelphia; and groundbreaking work in science, research and technology.
Temple is home to more than 39,000 students, is the thirty-first largest public, four-year institution in the U.S and offers more than 600 academic programs in 17 schools and colleges, on several campuses, including locations in Japan and Italy. Students enjoy the advantages and atmosphere of a large urban, public research university with the individualized attention that comes from a 13:1 student-to-faculty ratio. The majority of first-year students live on campus, where they are steps away from class; a state-of-the-art TECH Center; the brand new innovation hub Charles Library; fitness and recreation facilities; dining options; and the many arts, cultural, sports and scholarly events that happen daily at Temple and throughout the city.
Temple’s influence also extends around the globe, with long-standing campuses in Tokyo and Rome; a worldwide alumni network of more than 340,000; and approximately 3,000 international students at Temple’s Main Campus. By living and learning in an urban environment, Temple students are well prepared for the world. Employers laud students and graduates for their tenacity, teamwork and talent. Students also have access to an immense alumni network for guidance, job opportunities and mentoring.

Temple University is Part of Verto’s Direct Transfer Program
Through Verto’s Direct Transfer Program, you can gain admission to Temple University based on your academic performance with the courses delivered by the Academic Provider during your Verto study abroad experience. While admission will depend on Temple University’s availability and is ultimately up to their discretion, this route tends to give Verto participants who meet the college’s academic criteria a higher chance of admission and a fast-tracked application.
Though Temple's main campus is in Philadelphia, we have campuses in Rome and Tokyo and we want to attract students who have an interest in both an urban and a global college experience. We partnered with Verto because we want to fuel that interest by reaching students who are already imagining a college experience with an international advantage.
