About Mills College

At Mills College, you’ll find the freedom and support you need to pursue your passions. Founded in 1852, Mills is ranked one of the top colleges in the West by U.S. News & World Report and one of the best colleges in the nation by The Princeton Review. Here, you’ll be encouraged to ask questions and dig deep for answers. You’ll discover the power of your voice so you can speak up and make a difference for the ideals and people that matter to you.

We want a life-changing Mills education to be within reach of academically talented students from around the globe, so in fall 2018, we lowered our tuition by 36%. Our goal is to make Mills as accessible and affordable as possible to students of all backgrounds.

Our 25,000 alumnae are blazing trails every day in over 60 countries. Some are pursuing advanced degrees at the world’s most prestigious universities; others are leading nonprofits and businesses and pushing the boundaries in the arts and sciences. A select group serve in the government, including the United States House of Representatives and the diplomatic corps of nations such as Saudi Arabia and Jordan.

Wherever you choose to go next, you’ll be equipped to forge a distinctive path, emboldened to transform the world, and empowered to make a statement.
