When you study overseas, you are fully immersed in the destination—you build a deeper personal connection to a place and its people.
Rigorous courses are delivered by Verto’s Academic Provider, the University of New Haven. All class sizes are capped at 25 students and focus on experiential education, including hands-on projects, field trips, and service learning.
The credits you earn while overseas fulfill general education requirements at Pace and transfer seamlessly.

All abroad courses are delivered by our Academic Partner, the University of New Haven, and are pre-articulated with Pace University—so your credits earned abroad will transfer pending your final abroad grades (see Program Requirements above)! While enrolling for your abroad experience, students will receive a university specific course registration guide with information about course transferability during course registration. Verto works closely with academic partners to make the transfer process as smooth as possible. Verto provides ongoing academic advising throughout the process. Yes! On your college abroad experience you will earn general education credits, delivered by the University of New Haven, just like you would a semester on campus. We understand that requirements for majors can vary. By taking an average of 15 credits per abroad semester you can set yourself up for an on-time graduation.

We have comprehensive risk management and crisis response processes and protocols and go to great lengths to educate and train our leaders in emergency preparedness and response.
Verto participants traveling to any of our international destinations will be provided with travel health coverage through Cultural Insurances Service International (CISI) included as part of their experience cost. This travel health insurance, specifically designed for students, provides coverage for the duration of studying abroad. Verto partners with AXA Travel Assist to provide emergency evacuations, medical evacuation or repatriation for all Verto participants. Learn more about CISI travel insurance and AXA Travel Assist.
We, at Verto Education, align our vaccination policies to comply with local government laws. Please review our Verto Vaccination Policy and our Health and Safety Planning for up-to-date information.
Before departure, Verto will help connect you with resources for specific regional information and travel consultation. We recommend reviewing these resources and discussing upcoming travel plans with your physician.
Students will have access to internet service in their housing accommodation, as well as at the Verto Study Center. All students are required to have a working cell phone with the ability to make and receive voice calls. For details on how to prepare your cell phone for abroad usage please visit our Location Resources page.
Verto encourages students to inform their family member(s) or caregiver in the U.S. once they’ve arrived in-country to their abroad location. From there, students & families should set personal expectations regarding frequency of communication throughout the semester.
Participants and families will have access to our 24-hour emergency phone line for urgent immediate assistance. Each Verto abroad location has a unique emergency phone number that students will receive closer to their departure time.

We can accommodate participants 17 to 22 years old, however, most participants are between 18 and 20 years old.
Minimum age requirements vary by location:
- Buenos Aires: must be 18 by program start date
- Costa Rica: must be 17 by program start date
- Prague: must be 17 by May 15th for fall semesters and by October 1st for spring semesters
- Florence & Seville: must be 18 by June 1st for fall semesters and by October 1st for spring semesters
In addition to meeting age requirements, your passport must be valid for 6 months-1 year after the program end date.
Confirm Your Interest Form, chat with your Senior Admissions Counselor, and submit a $500 deposit to Verto Education.
Students must maintain a 3.0 minimum cumulative GPA and 12 credit hours during their semester with Verto. 15 credits are preferred for the Global Pace Setters Program.
Students must submit a $100 non refundable enrollment deposit by December 1, 2023.
All majors and programs are applicable to this program.
Students will be advised and supported by an academic advisor during their time at Pace to stay on track.
Students will select their classes for spring with an academic advisor during Spring Orientation, which usually takes place in mid-January.
